Our Gilham project features one of the largest over mantles we have ever crafted.
Oversized mantles have become a sought after feature for many of our clients, and this statement piece is among the most impressive to date, measuring over 3.5 metres wide by 2.5 metres high. Designed and handcrafted in house, it creates a striking architectural focal point within the kitchen.
With its elegant curves, detailed mouldings, and commanding proportions, this over mantle not only frames the cooking area beautifully but anchors the entire space, truly the centrepiece of the room.
The layout of this kitchen has been carefully designed to flow effortlessly from preparation to dining and entertaining. A generous central island anchors the space, creating a natural hub for breakfast, casual meals, and conversation, while the adjoining dining area provides a more formal setting for evening gatherings.
During the day, large windows flood the room with natural light, enhancing the soft hand-painted cabinetry and creating a bright, uplifting atmosphere. The open yet structured layout ensures the kitchen feels spacious, practical, and welcoming for family life.
As evening falls, the character of the space gently transforms. Subtle lighting within the top box cabinetry, filtered through elegant reeded glass, casts a warm ambient glow across the room. Combined with layered task and pendant lighting, the kitchen shifts into a relaxed and inviting setting, perfect for hosting friends or enjoying a quiet dinner.

When closed, it blends seamlessly into the surrounding cabinetry; when opened, it reveals a warm oak-lined interior complete with shelving, drawer storage, and dedicated space for coffee essentials.
Thoughtfully designed to keep worktops clutter-free, this feature creates a perfectly organised station for morning rituals and relaxed evenings alike. Positioned close to the island, it becomes a natural gathering point, a wonderful place to sit, pour a fresh coffee, and enjoy time with friends.

Measuring just 1.7m x 1.1m on paper, it may seem compact, but step inside and it tells a very different story. Clever design and thoughtful planning allow it to deliver all the impact of a much larger pantry, with every inch carefully considered and every corner fully utilised.
