Part of the brief for the Tapeley Kitchen Waterford project was to evolve the existing kitchen design while maximising storage and preserving the character of this beautiful Georgian home. With this in mind, the original Waterford Stanley cooker was carefully integrated into the new layout, allowing the heart of the home to remain a central feature.
The bespoke in-frame cabinetry was designed and handcrafted to complement the home’s period proportions, with full-height storage, glazed display units, and detailed cornicing enhancing both practicality and elegance. The deep toned painted finish, paired with brass hardware, adds warmth and sophistication while reflecting the home’s heritage.
A generous island provides additional workspace and informal seating, creating a natural gathering point for family and guests. Thoughtfully planned internal storage, discreet appliance housing, and tailored joinery solutions ensure the kitchen is as functional as it is beautiful.
Every element of this kitchen was custom made by Sexton & Sons, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern living requirements, delivering a timeless space that will serve the home for generations to come, The Tapeley Kitchen Waterford take a look.
Satin brass trims bring the deep, dramatic tones of the Tapeley Kitchen project beautifully to life. The bespoke cabinetry is finished in Smokescreen by colourtrend paints, paired with walnut serving trays to introduce warmth and contrast.
A subtle curved end panel softens the overall layout, adding an elegant, flowing finish to the joinery and enhancing the sense of craftsmanship throughout the space. Thoughtful details like these elevate the kitchen from functional to truly timeless.

This petite island from our Tapeley project, measuring just 1m x 1.6m, proves that great design isn’t about size, it’s about thoughtful planning. Despite its compact footprint, it delivers all the functionality and detailing of our larger bespoke islands, including a discreet downdraft hob, comfortable seating, and cleverly integrated storage.
Handcrafted in our in-frame shaker style and finished in Smokescreen by @colourtrendpaints, the island features elegant panelling, solid construction, and satin brass hardware to complement the surrounding cabinetry. A seamless quartz worktop with softened edges enhances both durability and visual appeal, while maintaining a light, refined feel within the space.
Designed to sit naturally within this Georgian setting, the island creates a practical working hub without overwhelming the room, offering the perfect balance of form, function, and craftsmanship.
Sometimes, less really is more.
A solid satin brass ladder rail paired with a bespoke walnut library ladder adds both character and practicality to this tall bank of cabinetry. Designed to provide effortless access to the full height storage, the ladder moves smoothly along the rail, making even the highest cabinets easily reachable.
For added convenience, the ladder features an integrated hanging notch, allowing it to be securely stored on the side of the cabinetry when not in use. This thoughtful detail keeps the space clear and uncluttered, while maintaining the elegant, architectural presence of the ladder.
Crafted from solid walnut and finished to complement the surrounding joinery, the ladder introduces warmth and contrast against the deep-toned cabinetry, reinforcing the balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern usability that defines this Tapeley kitchen project.
Every element has been carefully considered, where form, function, and fine detailing work seamlessly together.
